Reproduction of Historic Windows and Doors

The reproduction of historic windows and doors requires more than visual imitation. It demands a precise understanding of proportion, profile, material, and construction so that a new element can belong naturally to a historic building.

Exact Reproduction Based on Existing Fabric, Not Standard Catalogues

Weather bars — Made from a single piece of wood, with direct connection to the glass. This solution also eliminates a critical area that is particularly exposed to weathering.

Advanced security — Burglar-resistant windows up to RC 4 and bullet-resistant constructions up to FB 4 nS — in the slimmest possible profiles.

The manufacturing process also includes careful sealing of the end grain of the wooden profiles, known as Hirnholzversiegelung, which protects the wood against excessive moisture absorption.

No visible industrial joints — No V-grooves, which are commonly used today to accelerate window production. The joints in the frames and sashes of our windows are smooth.

Custom manufacturing — Each window is developed in close collaboration with clients, architects, and heritage authorities, based on the original windows and the architectural requirements of the façade.

Our Windows

All our window types are developed and manufactured in close collaboration with clients, architects, and heritage authorities. The starting point is always the original window and the architectural requirements of the façade.

This includes sightlines, slim timber sections, narrow transom and meeting-stile profiles, mouldings, weather bars, hardware, putty bevel detailing, custom milling, and all decorative and structural details.

Finishes

Traditional linseed-oil-based coatings for an authentic appearance and long-term protection.

Full color spectrum available, matched to historic and contemporary specifications.

Technical Options on Request

All our window and door systems can be equipped with additional performance features according to the specific requirements of each project. Depending on the need, we integrate sound insulation, burglar resistance up to RC 4, and bullet resistance up to FB 4 nS — always in the slimmest possible timber sections and without compromising the historic appearance of the façade.
